ABOUT SACC GEORGIA
The Swedish American Chamber of Commerce-Georgia was founded in 1980 under the name the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce Atlanta. In order to reflect our state wide presence, we changed our name as of January 1, 2008 to The Swedish- American Chamber of Commerce-Georgia.
There were 5 people who took the initiative to start SACC-Atlanta. The initiators of SACC-Georgia are Henrik Sundblad, Hank Berglund, Solveig Harden, Mason Cargill and Bengt Nilsson. Some of them still reside in Georgia and some have moved back to Sweden. There are no doubts about how important they all have been and their tremendous contribution to the economic relationship between Georgia and Sweden.
The primary objective of SACC-Georgia is to promote an exchange of business, trade, investment, technology and culture between Sweden and the state of Georgia.
The Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce is a dynamic organization striving to unlock the full potential of Swedish-American trade. Since the foundation in 1988, the SACC-USA network of skilled local professionals has been growing throughout the United States with real results. SACC-USA has served more than 2,300 members in Sweden and the U.S., which makes the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce the second largest European Chamber of Commerce in the United States.
